Rules Official Rules and Guidelines for ARTISTS The Art Bazaar is an OPEN CALL to ALL artists working in ANY medium (i.e painting, sculpture, photography, fiber art, glass, ceramics, jewelry). Artists are admitted to the Art Bazaar on a "first-come, first-served" basis. There is a $450 or $250 non-refundable admission fee per participating artist depending on selected location. There are 7 large spaces measuring roughly 10 linear feet x 10 feet high (contiguous spaces available) and 7 small spaces measuring roughly 5 linear feet x 10 feet high. There is no limit on the number of spaces an individual artist may book. Multiple bay bookings are allowed. Registration will close once all spaces have been booked. (See Register page for complete details).
ART SALES Prices are set by the artist and must be clearly posted on the wall alongside each artwork. The Art Bazaar suggests using mailing labels or adhesive dots to facilitate this requirement. The Art Bazaar accepts CASH / CREDIT CARDS for sales. ALL SALES ARE FINAL. NO RETURNS or EXCHANGES ALLOWED. The Art Bazaar is responsible for collecting money from all sales and will issue sales receipts to the buyer and seller. Artist sales are tallied at the end of each Art Bazaar event and paid out according to the method of payment of the buyer. Cash sales are paid out at the end of the exhibition, credit card payments require additional time to process and will be made payable to the Artist once the funds are fully received by the Art Bazaar. There is a 50% commission payable to The Art Bazaar per each item sold.
INSTALLATION Each artist or artist representative is responsible for the installation, breakdown and removal of their work from the Art Bazaar. The Art Bazaar strongly encourages a minimal display of artwork. Salon-style installations MUST have prior approval. In order to maintain a professional environment and appearance, The Art Bazaar may change the location of an allocated space, alter the final layout of the artist's space, or limit the number of pieces exhibited. Artists are not allowed to display any work beyond their designated space and are asked to respect their neighboring exhibitors. To ensure a smooth installation, each artist is asked to bring all the hanging tools and materials needed to properly install your work (e.g. hammer, hanging wire, stands, frames, level, etc.) The gallery will supply the proper nails for installation. The gallery strictly forbids the use of screws, molly and toggle bolts, double sided tape or Velcro for installation. Writing on the walls is also prohibited. Please contact the gallery beforehand if you have any questions regarding hanging. Artists may rotate & re-hang their work as pieces sell during the event.
ATTENDENCE Each artist is required to be present and represent themselves during the Required Artist Participation hours of the show (see above) Any artist who fails to show up to the gallery during installation or required days without notifying the gallery will forfeit their space and have their artwork removed. All artists must sign a WAIVER that acknowledges the Art Bazaar is not responsible for any damage, loss or theft occurring on the premises during their participation. The artist acknowledges that the Art Bazaar has the right to use their "likeness" or imagery for live feed broadcasts, video and webcasts on TheArtBazaar.com and other social media outlets for PR and marketing purposes. If you have acquired a space in The Art Bazaar and you have your own website, The Art Bazaar will post your link to our site on www.TheArtBazaar.com for the duration of the event.
